Google review cards for barbershops
A barber's whole business is a chair that stays full. Reviews are the only marketing that compounds, and the moment a customer is happiest is the ten seconds they are stood at the mirror, phone in hand, before they walk out. Nothing in that room asks them for a review.

Why it works for barber shops
- “Best barber in town” is a search, not a slogan — reviews decide who fills that search.
- New clients book whoever looks safest. Ten recent reviews beat a fancy website.
- A card on the mirror costs cents and keeps working long after the Instagram post is buried.
Where to put the cards
- Taped to the mirror, at eye level, facing the chair
- On the till, next to the card machine
- A6 on the shelf under the mirror, leaning against product
- A4 by the door, where people wait for a mate
What the card should say
The template opens with this line, and you can change every word:
“Takes 30 seconds. It's how the next guy in town finds us.”
Print it properly
- Download the A6 card — 105 × 148 mm at 300 dpi.
- Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” softens the QR code.
- Scan it with your phone before printing a batch. It should open your review form.
- Cheap first run: use the 4-up A4 sheet on plain paper, cut it, and tape it up. Upgrade to 300 gsm once it works.
Never offer a discount for a review.
Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. These cards ask honestly — that's why they keep working.
Questions
What should the card say?
Short. Your shop name, one line like “Takes 30 seconds — it's how the next guy in town finds us”, five stars, and the code. The tool writes that copy for you and you can edit every word.
Where do barbers get the most reviews from?
The chair at the end of the cut, not the door. Put the card where they check their phone before the cape comes off.
