Google review cards for car washes and detailing
A car wash is a five-minute decision made while driving past. Reviews with photos of a finished car do the selling, and the customer standing next to their clean car is the easiest person in the world to ask.

Why it works for car washs
- “Car wash near me, open now” is decided on stars and recency.
- Detailing customers check reviews before trusting anyone with a paint finish.
- A card at the payment point reaches them while the car still gleams.
Where to put the cards
- At the payment window
- Handed over with the receipt
- On the vacuum bay wall
- A4 at the exit lane
What the card should say
The template opens with this line, and you can change every word:
“Looking sharp? A quick review helps drivers find a wash that does it properly.”
Print it properly
- Download the A6 card — 105 × 148 mm at 300 dpi.
- Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” softens the QR code.
- Scan it with your phone before printing a batch. It should open your review form.
- Cheap first run: use the 4-up A4 sheet on plain paper, cut it, and tape it up. Upgrade to 300 gsm once it works.
Never offer a discount for a review.
Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. These cards ask honestly — that's why they keep working.
Questions
Will a card survive the wash bay?
Use the A4 poster laminated for wet areas and keep A6 cards at the payment window, dry. Matte card in a wet bay turns to pulp.
Can we offer a free wash for a review?
No — that is an incentivised review. Google can remove it and it is not worth the risk.
