Google review cards for opticians
Choosing an optician is a two-year commitment made in five minutes. Reviews that mention not being rushed, or being helped with frames, are worth more than any window display.
Free · no signup · nothing uploaded. The card is built in your browser.
Why it works for opticians
- “Optician near me” plus “NHS/insurance” is a review-led decision.
- Patients worry about being upsold; reviews about honest advice fix that.
- A card at the dispensing desk catches them while the glasses still feel new.
Where to put the cards
- Dispensing desk, at hand height
- In the glasses case
- On the collection counter
- A4 in the waiting area
What the card should say
The template opens with this line, and you can change every word:
“Seeing clearly? A short review helps the next patient choose with confidence.”
Print it properly
- Download the A6 card — 105 × 148 mm at 300 dpi.
- Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” softens the QR code.
- Scan it with your phone before printing a batch. It should open your review form.
- Cheap first run: use the 4-up A4 sheet on plain paper, cut it, and tape it up. Upgrade to 300 gsm once it works.
Never offer a discount for a review.
Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. These cards ask honestly — that's why they keep working.
Questions
When is the best moment to ask?
At collection, when they put the new glasses on and the world sharpens. That is the emotional peak of the whole visit.
Can we ask about a specific frame range?
Don't. Keep the ask generic — asking for particular content is what Google's policy targets.
