Google review cards for hair salons
Clients tell you they love it while they're still in the chair — then they book again in six weeks and never leave a review. The compliment is real; the moment just passes.

Why it works for hair salons
- New clients read reviews before they trust a new colourist with their hair.
- A steady drip of reviews keeps you visible in “balayage near me” searches.
- One card at the mirror is cheaper than any ad and never expires.
Where to put the cards
- On the mirror of every station
- At reception, next to the card reader
- Inside the bag with the aftercare product
- A4 by the door for anyone waiting
What the card should say
The template opens with this line, and you can change every word:
“Loved your hair? A 30-second review helps other people find us.”
Print it properly
- Download the A6 card — 105 × 148 mm at 300 dpi.
- Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” softens the QR code.
- Scan it with your phone before printing a batch. It should open your review form.
- Cheap first run: use the 4-up A4 sheet on plain paper, cut it, and tape it up. Upgrade to 300 gsm once it works.
Never offer a discount for a review.
Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. These cards ask honestly — that's why they keep working.
Questions
Can I ask for reviews without being pushy?
Yes — put the card up and say one line at the mirror: “If you're happy, a quick review really helps us.” You never have to chase anyone.
Should the card mention a discount?
No. Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. Honest cards keep their reviews.
