Google review cards for veterinary clinics
Pet owners are anxious when they arrive and relieved when they leave. That relief is the strongest moment you will ever get for a review, and it walks out of the door with a carrier and a receipt.

Why it works for veterinary clinics
- “Emergency vet near me” is a panic search decided mostly by review stars.
- Owners trust other owners; that trust is written in reviews, not brochures.
- A card at the desk catches the moment the worry ends.
Where to put the cards
- Reception counter, facing the waiting room
- On the consulting-room desk
- In the discharge folder
- A4 in the waiting area
What the card should say
The template opens with this line, and you can change every word:
“Happy with your visit? A kind review helps other pet owners trust us with theirs.”
Print it properly
- Download the A6 card — 105 × 148 mm at 300 dpi.
- Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” softens the QR code.
- Scan it with your phone before printing a batch. It should open your review form.
- Cheap first run: use the 4-up A4 sheet on plain paper, cut it, and tape it up. Upgrade to 300 gsm once it works.
Never offer a discount for a review.
Google's policy forbids incentivised reviews and can remove them. These cards ask honestly — that's why they keep working.
Questions
Should staff mention the card?
One line at discharge — “if you were happy with us, a review really helps” — doubles the scan rate. Never press an owner who is grieving.
Can we ask for reviews about a specific vet?
You can invite it in your reply, but do not require or filter. Asking only happy owners is against Google's policy.
